Upper and lower lip augmentation in Kiev

Lip augmentation has become a very fashionable trend in the world. Why do we want to increase the volume of the upper and lower lip? Some people are simply born with thin lips. Others are concerned about uneven and asymmetrical lips. Sometimes the lips are out of proportion to the rest of the face, and sometimes we are simply victimized by bad habits, such as smoking or facial expressions when talking or drinking. And drinking through a tube contributes to deeper wrinkles, jokingly called “club wrinkles” or “disco wrinkles”. Drinking from a glass or bottle can also contribute to lip wrinkles.

Which solution to choose to correct the problem of lack of volume in the upper and lower lip?

Of course there is the option of trying to fix these lip problems using eyeliner pencils, lipsticks and other makeup tricks, but that doesn’t last. If you want to have full, luscious and sensual lips for the long term, lip injections may be the solution to this problem.

Lip injections are exactly what you need. Fillers or so-called Juviderm, Teoseal or Redias fillers will give your lips the desired look, shape and volume.

What does lip volume correction give?

Depending on the type of filler used and the amount injected into your lips, you can receive a number of benefits:

  • Lip volume enhancement
  • Correcting asymmetry
  • Restoring the clarity of the border between the lip and the surrounding skin
  • Smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles around the lips
  • Lip shape correction

How are lip injections performed?

First of all, you will have a consultation with a professional injection doctor who will help you decide which type of filler is recommended for your lips. How much it makes sense to change the contour and volume of your lips to get a long-lasting effect and satisfy all your wishes for the appearance of your lips.

Once the target is identified, the procedure begins with local anesthesia to alleviate the discomfort caused by the needle. Our clinic uses syringes with a small, thin needle. The chosen filler is injected in several areas of your lips. Depending on the task at hand, this may include injections into the upper, lower, or both of your lips. Injections may also be performed around the edges of your lips.

You will see the result and the difference immediately. After the injection, you will have juicy, full lips like a child’s for a long time to come. In addition, you will receive care instructions. For example, you should be prepared for the fact that your new lips do not like very high temperatures, such as in the sauna or when drinking very hot drinks. The whole procedure only takes about 30 minutes, after which you can get on with your daily routine.

What is the recovery process after lip injection?

Because the lips contain so many blood vessels, they are very prone to swelling. Immediately after the injection, your lips will be enlarged due to micro injuries caused by the needle. Warning!!! Small bruises on the lips may occur due to the large number of blood vessels in the lips.

To minimize swelling, you can apply ice packs at20-minute intervals throughout the day. It is recommended to sleep at night with your head elevated with plenty of pillows.

The next morning, your lips may be even more swollen than the day before, This is predictable and normal. It’s just part of the healing process.

Within three days, the swelling will begin to shrink and will finally disappear about three days after the lip correction procedure.

When will I see the results of my upper and lower lip volume correction?

Immediately! Your lips will be plump and voluminous immediately after the correction procedure. A slight swelling is allowed, but you will be able to see the final results within a few days.

Can I use more than one syringe of filler?

Yes. You can wait until after the procedure to inject one filler and see the result. If you like it, but you want a more vivid result, it may make sense to enhance the effect by injecting additional filler. The main condition – prior consultation with a doctor.

How long does the result of lip injections last?

This depends on the filler injected. For soft tissue, hyaluronic acid-containing fillers such as Juvéderm®, the average duration of effect is between six months and one year. However, you may well be able to afford to get repeat injections sooner if you prefer a vibrant and long-lasting result with no signs of diminishing effect.

Is lip augmentation procedure painful?

Different people have different pain thresholds. You should know and be prepared for the fact that this procedure is not painless. You will feel some discomfort during the procedure as the lips are quite sensitive. An anesthetic is applied to the areas that will be treated with injections. Typically, a cream with lidocaine or lidocaine plus prelocaine is used. The cream is applied and covered with a thin food film. Immediately before the injection is administered.

What is the best way to prepare for lip augmentation?

For one week before the procedure, you should avoid taking aspirin, smoking and alcohol. This will help reduce swelling and the chance of bruising. If a bruise occurs, it is perfectly acceptable to cover it with makeup or lipstick.

Are there any risks involved with lip injections?

The type of lip injections given to you will determine the likelihood and type of complications. The hyaluronic acid in a filler such as JUVÉDERM® carries minimal risk because it is FDA-cleared in the United States. It has undergone extensive laboratory testing. The only thing that may occur is asymmetry, which can be corrected with additional injections. You should also be wary of infection and scarring if the procedure is performed by an inexperienced or uncertified physician under inappropriate conditions.

WARNING! Do not trust your face to dubious beauticians and nurses. Only a doctor with higher medical education has the right under the law of Ukraine to conduct injections in the lips and face.
